Low Cost Counselling Program
Our mission is to provide accessible and affordable counselling therapy services to our community. We understand that financial constraints should not be a barrier to receiving quality mental health care. Therefore, our Low Cost Counselling Program operates on a "pay what you can" approach, with a suggested rate of $40.00 per clinical hour.
How Does it Work?
Our Low Cost Counselling Program is supported by highly competent postgraduate masters-level interns in the final stages of their Masters in Counselling Psychology program.
While their supervision is part of our protocol, it's important to clarify that supervisors are not present during sessions with the interns. Instead, they engage in comprehensive case discussions afterward. This ensures that our interns, although still in training, are equipped with the most current research and therapy interventions to effectively address your needs.
You can have full confidence in the expertise of our interns and the structured support they receive as they progress toward graduation.
What is a Postgraduate Masters Level Clinical Intern?
A postgraduate masters level clinical intern is an individual who has undergone extensive education and possesses experience in the field of counselling psychology. They have completed the coursework in their Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology Degree, indicating advanced education beyond undergraduate studies. These interns require onsite clinical experience to fulfill graduation requirements from their programs and achieve full accreditation. Throughout their internship, they work under the supervision of a seasoned Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) and receive continuous on-site guidance and support.
What Issues Can Our Interns Support You With?
We want to ensure that you're a good fit for our interns and that you receive the support you need.
